MY STORY:

I came to composition through a fusion of my work as a performer and my early and enduring love of film medium. Through singing, playing the violin, guitar, piano and organ as well as bass and a variety of percussion instruments, I have recorded many thousands of hours of material for my scores, for other people’s scores as well as countless commercials and other works encompassing all media.

I enjoy collaborating to create a unified vision in every setting. Being an award-winning filmmaker myself has given me a unique vantage point from which to understand the entire process at every level from script to release.

With the many instruments and skills at my disposal I’m able to:

• Have a deep understanding of the different timbres and textures of a wide range of instruments, allowing me to create rich and evocative soundscapes, tailored to the specific needs of each piece.
• Be able to improvise, compose and record in realtime. This enables me to write in the presence of filmmakers, creating a uniquely collaborative writing experience.
• Write music in a variety of styles, from classical to pop to electronic, giving me the versatility to create scores for any genre of film, TV show or commercial.
